Retal Mosque is a contemplation on the elemental forms of Islamic architecture — dome, minaret, water, light — held in balance and stripped to their essence.

A single, softly curved dome rises above a circle of glass walls, encircled by reflecting pools that hold the architecture twice. A slender minaret marks the sky beside it, abstracted to a vertical line. Entry passes behind a curtain of falling water — a contemporary echo of the ritual washing that precedes prayer.

Inside, light moves freely through the glass walls and gathers under the dome, drawing the eye upward and the breath slower. The interior is acoustically calm, visually open, materially quiet.

Retal Mosque is a place where architecture steps back so that ritual, light, and water can speak — a sanctuary that holds itself lightly, so that the people inside it can hold themselves still.
